History and General Information
Nestled in the North Georgia Mountains, Unicoi State Park and Lodge welcome you and your wedding guests for a truly unique wedding experience. The lodge features 100 guest rooms and 30 cabins. Located about an hour and a half from the city of Atlanta, Unicoi State Park and Lodge is surrounded by 1,050 acres of state park property and is adjacent to the Chattahoochee National Forest. The Historic Village of Sautee, North Georgia’s many local wineries, seasonal festivals, art galleries and the Alpine City of Helen are only a short scenic drive away.
The Lodge is the perfect location for couples who would like to have their wedding in a stunning natural setting. The 53 acre Unicoi Lake can be seen entering the park as well as from The Beach House Facility. In 2014, extensive renovations took place in the main lodge, many guest rooms, cabins and campsites.
Invite your wedding guests to enjoy the many features of Unicoi State Park including 12 miles of hiking and nature trails, a challenging single track mountain bike trail, trout and lake fishing, beach access and lake swimming, seasonal canoe and pedal boat rentals, picnic facilities, bird watching, special nature and culinary programs, educational hikes, field for recreational activities and sports, and the Lodge Restaurant and full service Smith Creek Tavern.
